Fox News host Sean Hannity was looking for an apology and a retraction of The New York Times’ faulty covering of Hannity’s statements regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Hannity’s lawyer, Charles Harder, and New York Times’ lawyer David E. McCraw battled out what seems to be more fake news propaganda. The New York Times sticks by their fake news and refuses to comply.
Attorney Charles Harder is no stranger to the fake news The New York Times publishes. Harder was President Trump’s attorney during his campaign when The New York Times published a false news column. Trump won the case, and The New York Times had to retract their story.
A twelve-page letter was sent to The New York Times, which began, “This firm is litigation counsel for Sean Hannity. We write concerning the New York Times’ blatant and outrageous disregard for the truth in mischaracterizing Mr. Hannity’s coverage of the coronavirus pandemic and blaming him for the tragic death of Joe Joyce. The term ‘you’ and ‘your’ in this letter shall collectively refer to The New York Times Company, Ms. Bellafante, Ms. Swisher, and Mr. Smith.”
The letter explains how The New York Times took Sean Hannity’s statement out of context and with no research. It stated how the story titled, “A Beloved Bar Owner Was Skeptical About the Virus. Then He Took A Cruise” had no influence on the death of Mr. Joyce.
Harder goes on to explain how Mr. Joyce’s children warned him of the impending dangers of going on the cruise due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Harder lays down the law of how timelines and other important information was left out to make Hannity look incompetent.
The last line of the second paragraph of the letter seemed to sum everything up along with giving the actual timeline of the real events which took place. It stated, “Moreover, you were fully aware that this was the actual timeline, and in order to mislead your readers and support your false narrative, you withheld the date of Mr. Hannity’s comments from your story.”
When the New York Times published the three-column article, they mentioned how Mr. Joyce watched Fox News and felt safe enough to take the cruise as he “believed the virus was under control.” The paper slapped in the comments on how they said Hannity called the coronavirus “a new hoax.”
Harder added how Kara Swisher and Ben Smith made the comments appear real but were “false and defamatory, and extremely damaging.” Harder added how “Hannity has extensively and truthfully covered the virus and the seriousness of the pandemic.”
Harder continued, “The Times has failed to interrogate coverage by Democratic Party–friendly media outlets, including ABC, NBC, CBS, and MSNBC.”
President Trump sums up The New York Times with two words, “FAKE NEWS!” This is not the first time, and it probably will not be the last The New York Times botches up a story and puts forth defamation of character while flat out lying about Conservatives.
The Times Lawyer David McCraw responded back to Harder and Hannity with a short letter. It read, “The columns are accurate, do not reasonably imply what you and Mr. Hannity allege they do and constitute protected opinion. In response to your request for an apology and retraction, our answer is ‘no.'”
It is no secret how fake news media works. Everything is controlled by the Left and only works in favor of the Democrats. How many times will it take before the world catches what is happening when it comes to the news media? We may never know the answer to this question because people believe what is continuously shoved in our faces every day.
This was a tactic used for many decades, and even though more people are waking up, there are still many who do not see the lies. Conservatives understand what is happening because the lies are about us who are on the right side of the fence.
Sean Hannity is one of the few on Fox News who tells it like it is. There are a few others, but Fox News is also starting to take on the Left’s agenda.
Many times President Trump has mentioned, “the invisible enemy.” A lot of folks think he is talking about the coronavirus. The further along we go down this road, the more it points toward the deep state and the fake news media. These are the ones the world fights with every day.
