(UnitedVoice.com) – Members of the US military killed Iran’s Major General Qasem Soleimani in a surgical strike on January 3, 2020, on President Donald Trump’s orders. As the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, he was Iran’s most powerful military leader at the time, and his death sparked outrage within the regime.

Iran’s leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei, vowed his country to take revenge against the US. However, for the most part, things remained rather quiet in the aftermath of Soleimani’s death.

On January 1, 2021, Soleimani’s replacement, Gen. Hossein Salami, started speaking out about American intervention in Iran, promising the country would get the last word with its enemies “on the battlefield.”

Iran’s foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, took to Twitter in an attempt to redirect American attention to Israel. According to him, agents working on its behalf were plotting attacks against US forces.

New intelligence from Iraq indicate that Israeli agent-provocateurs are plotting attacks against Americans—putting an outgoing Trump in a bind with a fake casus belli.

The US responded to those implied threats by reversing an earlier decision to pull its aircraft carrier, the USS Nimitz, out of the Persian Gulf.

Iran can bark all it wants. However, the USA has the military might, and President Trump has the will to take on any challenge to American interests at home and abroad.
