Veterans Request Warnock Remove Himself From Georgia Senate Race

(UnitedVoice.com) – Georgia has become ground zero in the fight for America. The state’s two runoff elections will decide which party has control of the Senate. That’s what makes one candidate’s past remarks so disturbing.

In 2011, Democratic Senate candidate Rev. Raphael Warnock gave a sermon where he said it’s not possible to “serve God and the military.” It was an insinuation that American soldiers are sinners. Dozens of Georgia veterans are now asking him to drop out of the race, calling his comments “despicable and flat-out wrong.” In a letter, they said “true leaders recognize” the sacrifices soldiers have made for their country.

Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler, his opponent, called the Democrat out for his disgusting comments, as well.

Our soldiers are the bravest in the world. They put their lives on the line every day to make sure Americans are safe. If it weren’t for them, the US would not even exist. How can Warnock serve this country as a senator if he doesn’t appreciate their sacrifices?
